Each year, Liberians celebrate July 26th with great fanfare: it's an opportunity for people to exchange gifts and well-wishes. Niapele hopes all Liberians at home and abroad have a happy independence day, and we offer a special congratulations to all the members of the Niapele family. Each Niapele success is a testament to our partners' hard work and genuine commitment to serving their communities.

Greetings, friends and supporters of Niapele!

Our programs in Liberia have been going full tilt this year - our community partners have been enthusiastically implementing the programs which we spent most of 2009 designing and developing together.

  We're happy to share some updates about the Happy Family Center for Children with Disabilities, an initiative born out of the desire of two parents and former refugees whose son lives with cerebral palsy to provide a place for children with disabilities to grow, learn and develop their autonomy.

 

Legendary Bingo - Thank you!

On Wednesday February 3rd, Legendary Bingo night at Hamburger Mary's raised $1,500 to benefit The Niapele Project. It was a packed house at this fun event and good times were had by all.
